About Taylor Leland
Classical Pilates Instructor | Charleston, SC
- Hi, I’m Taylor a 1,200+ hour certified Classical Pilates teacher and lifelong student of movement, alignment, and healing. I am from Colorado so the outdoors are very sacred to me. I moved here 5 years ago and met my husband, Mac. We enjoy camping, traveling, and both own our own businesses here in Charleston. I am just starting my initiation into motherhood as I have a little one on the way. My journey into Pilates began as a former Division I athlete recovering from injury—seeking not just strength, but a deeper understanding of my body. What I found in the classical method was more than a workout; it was a system of intelligent, restorative movement that transformed the way I live, move, and teach.
- I’ve studied the classical method in its purest and most disciplined form because I believe in the power of tradition—exercises taught as they were meant to be, rooted in principles and purposes in every single movement. My passion lies in helping people become more embodied and aligned—whether you’re healing from injury, navigating structural imbalances, preparing for motherhood, or simply seeking a more connected way to move through life.

My Approach
The Art of Intentional Movement
Classical Pilates is a living, breathing method that connects body, mind, and breath. I teach from Joseph Pilates’ original vision and tradition, but I also meet you exactly where you are—whether you’re looking to build strength, improve alignment, or simply feel more at home in your body.
Pilates is the praxis of movement—it teaches you how to move from the right places, out of your joints and from your center.Classical Pilates is about retraining your movement patterns so you can take that awareness into everything else you do—yoga, weightlifting, sports, or just everyday life.
Each session is rooted in precision and intention. I focus on alignment over repetition and progress over perfection. We work within the classical method—on the mat and apparatus—to build true, functional strength. This isn’t about performing for others; it’s about learning to carry yourself with more grace and power, wherever you go.
What makes this space different is the quality of attention we bring to it. It’s focused, grounded, and slowed down. Together, we create space to move with care—one breath, one exercise, one day at a time.
